WELCOME TO STRENGTH AND HONOR MMA
Strength and Honor Mixed Martial Arts is the new upcoming studio in Rancho Cucamonga. Jeff Frater the owner and head instructor has made many champions for youth and adult competitors in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Pankration and MMA since 1998.
The fastest growing sport in the world is taught right here at Strength & Honor MMA. Mixed Martial Arts combines the disciplines of Muay Thai & Boxing along with other striking arts with the takedowns of Wrestling and Judo. Further combined with Ground Fighting Arts such as Jiu Jitsu and Sambo, makes this a versatile form of combat sports.
This is one of the most popular classes for youth today. Kids and Teens are taught kicks and punches along with takedowns and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu submissions. This is as close to MMA these kids will experience and have the opportunity to compete in. However we do not allow kids to compete or spar with any strikes to the head. Safety in this class is at the upmost importance while allowing kids to understand how to train effectively and safely while respecting their fellow classmates. Any student that becomes proficient in Pankration will be a hard target for bullies.
This is a self defense only style of training. While combat sports have rules and regulations, San Soo has none. This is for those that have concerns about being attacked in the street or in their own homes. The ideology is to hit areas of the body which are most vulnerable where in combat sports would be considered illegal.
Highly regarded as one of the more superior martial arts of today, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is enjoyed and loved by Men, Women and the Youth. Instead of strength Jiu Jitsu utilizes leverage and timing. Traditionally this art requires the use of the Kimono or “Gi” which is the uniform itself, that can serve to be a benefit to the practitioner. Students can set up moves using the pants, the belt or the jacket to help aid in Submissions, Reversals and Defense.
This class has fun all over it. Students are taught actual techniques used to win in full contact stick fighting events. Some compare it to live Jedi Training. Students are given the opportunity to spar with padded weapons along with manipulating their weapon as they would in a real altercation where weapons became a factor.
